Osaka: India and Indonesia have set ambitious targets for increasing bilateral trade to $ 50 billion in the next six years. According to Ministry of External Affairs spokesman Ravish Kumar, India and Indonesia have set a target to reach bilateral trade up to $ 50 billion by 2025. According to the Indonesian Central Statistics Agency, trade between the two countries stood at $ 12.90 billion in 2016. In the year 2017, it rose 28.70 percent to $ 18.13 billion. In the meeting of the two leaders, discussions on how to increase bilateral cooperation on issues related to trade and investment, defense and maritime security were discussed.
