India has rejected the American President Donald Trump's claim that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had asked him to meditate on the Kashmir issue two weeks ago (during the G-20 summit). After this claim made to Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan, the Indian Foreign Ministry said that Modi did not make any such request before Trump.
After the trump statement was exposed, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ravi Kumar tweeted that India has been starting from the beginning that all issues are resolved only with bilateral talks. Any conversation with Pakistan can only happen if cross-border terrorism is closed.
Earlier, Trump offered to mediate between India and Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue. During a discussion with Trump on Monday in the White House, Imran Khan pleaded for a mediator on Kashmir. After the meeting between Trump and Imran, the two shared a press conference. The video clearly shows that Imran is in front of the US to resolve the Kashmir issue. Imran said that Pakistan wants Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue to maintain peace in the region.
