He also alleged that the country was in trouble due to the Centre’s strategy to deal with Covid.
12 crore jobs have been lost
The Congress leader tweeted, “The Modi government’s” full-blown fight “against Covid has pushed India into the abyss of troubles. There has been a historic reduction of 24 percent in GDP, 12 crore jobs have been lost, 15.5 lakh crores have been incurring additional debt and the most daily cases and deaths reported of Covid in the world are occurring in India. ” The government says ‘all is well.’
Coronavirus cases in India
According to the Ministry of Health, a record 97,570 new cases of coronavirus infected reported in the country on Saturday, taking the total number of infected to 46,59,984. At the same time, the death toll increased to 77,472 with 1201 patients died in the last 24 hours.
Although the number of people recovering from Corona are also increasing. People are not recovering at the speed with which new cases are coming up. During the last 24 hours, 81,533 people across the country have recovered from Corona. This is the highest number of recovered cases recorded in one day. So far a total of 36,24,196 people have been cured of corona and the rate of recovery from coronavirus in the country is 77.77 percent.
Testing is being continuously carried out across the country to identify corona patients. More than 10.91 lakh corona tests have been conducted across the country on Friday. The total coronavirus testing has now reached 5.51 crores. India is having the most corona tests conducted worldwide after the US.
Speaking of coronavirus cases globally, the total number of cases worldwide has reached 28.8 million. So far, more than 9.19 lakh people have died due to coronavirus worldwide. However, over 2.05 million people all over the world have been cured of the coronavirus. The highest number of cases of coronavirus in the world are in the US. Here more than 66.36 lakh cases have been reported and more than 1.97 lakh people have lost their lives. It is followed by India and Brazil. Brazil at number three after India where 42.83 lakh cases have been reported and more than 1.30 lakh people have lost their lives. In Russia too, more than 10.51 lakh cases have been reported and more than 18 thousand people have lost their lives.
