This result means that India, ranked 106th in the world rankings, still needs their first win in qualifying. Substitute Ciminlen Dongel (90 + 3) scored when the Indian team was heading towards their second defeat. Afghanisthan took lead by Jelfagar Nazri's goal in the first half.
