Coronavirus infection is spreading rapidly rather than decreasing in the country and the situation has become such that the figure of coronavirus cases in the country has now crossed 7 lakh mark. According to the Union Health Ministry, during the last 24 hours, a total of 22,252 new cases of coronavirus have come across the country and with these cases the total corona cases in the country have increased to 7,19,665. However, there are fewer active cases and more number of cured people. There are 2,59,597 active cases in total cases.
With new cases of coronavirus coming up, the number of people who are losing their lives due to corona in the country is also increasing continuously and the figure has also crossed 20 thousand. According to the Union Health Ministry, from Monday 8 am to 8 am Tuesday, 467 deaths due to coronavirus have been recorded across the country and till date the virus has killed a total of 20,160 people across the country.
However, with the increase of coronavirus infection in India, the number of people recovering from Corona are also increasing rapidly and so far a total of 4,39,947 people have been cured across the country. During the last 24 hours, 15,515 people across the country have recovered from Corona. Coronavirus recovery rate in the country remains above 61 percent.
There is continuous testing going in the country for the identification of coronavirus patients. On Monday, more than 2.41 lakh tests have been conducted across the country. The total coronavirus testing in the country has increased to over 1.02 crore. After the United States, Russia and Britain, the highest number of coronavirus tests are being conducted in India.
Speaking of coronavirus cases globally, the total number of cases worldwide has reached over 1.17 crores and so far more than 5.40 lakh people have also died due to coronavirus worldwide. However, more than 67.36 lakh coronavirus patients have been cured all over the world. The highest numbers of cases of coronavirus in the world are in the US, where more than 30.40 lakh cases have been reported and more than 1.32 lakh people have died, followed by more than 16.26 lakh cases in Brazil and 65 thousand deaths, with 6.87 lakh cases reported in Russia.
