On Friday, the US Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo expressed deep condolences to Indian soldiers who martyred in violent clashes with Chinese troops in the Galwan Valley of Ladakh. Significantly, 20 Indian army soldiers were martyred in violent clashes with Chinese soldiers.

Mike Pompeo said, "We extend our deepest condolences to the people of India for the lives lost as a result of the recent confrontation with China. We will remember the soldiers' families, loved ones, and communities as they grieve."  The information was not given on whether the issue of violent clash between India and China along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh was raised during Pompeo-Yang talks in Hawaii.

The White House said a day earlier that US President Donald Trump was aware of violent clashes between Indian and Chinese soldiers in eastern Ladakh. Let us tell you that 20 Indian military personnel were martyred in a clash with Chinese troops on Monday night in the Galwan Valley of eastern Ladakh.

PM calls an all-party meeting regarding the border dispute:

At the same time, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has called an all-party meeting on the border dispute between China and India. The government has not invited Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's Aam Aadmi Party for this meeting.

The president of different parties will attend this meeting to be held at 5 pm today. According to sources, the parties which have more than five MPs have received an invitation to attend this meeting.

Who will attend this meeting:

The meeting will be attended by Congress President Sonia Gandhi, Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav, JAM President Hemant Soren, TMC Chief Mamata Banerjee and TDP President Chandrababu Naidu, Shiv Sena chief and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, Lok Janshakti Party president Chirag Paswan, Shiromani Akali Dal president Sukhbir Singh Badal, Telangana CM K Chandrasekhar Rao and Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik will also attend the meeting.

Apart from these, CPI-M General Secretary Sitaram Yechury, NCP President Sharad Pawar, Andhra Pradesh CM Jagan Mohan Reddy, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and MK Stalin will attend the meeting. Before the all-party meeting, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to all the opposition party presidents.
