India Becomes Pharmacy of the World during COVID-19 Crises, Said SCO Secretary General

Vladimir Norov, Secretary-General of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), has said that during the Corona epidemic, India has become the pharmacy of the world with its vast experience and deep knowledge in the field of medicine. Norov further said that India has so far supplied medicines to 133 countries in the fight against Corona, indicating its generosity. However, the Government of India had to take emergency measures to treat people on its own. He said that this is an example of the worthy and responsible behavior of a major power, as well as the complementarily and mutual support of the SCO member country.

India joining the UN Security Council is not merely symbolic: Norov

Commenting on India's election as a temporary member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Norov said that India's involvement in this powerful body of the UN is not merely symbolic. India has been elected as a provisional member of UNSC for the year 2021-22.

India will participate with the world community in developing the Corona vaccine: Norov

Norov said, 'I am sure that India's qualified scientists and medical professionals will actively participate with the world community in studying and researching the coronavirus epidemic and developing vaccines.' He said that India is playing the role of pharmacy of the world and it is very important in view of the epidemic.
