As coronavirus infection is getting out of control, thousands of new cases are coming in the country every day. According to the data released by the Union Ministry of Health, during the last 24 hours i.e. 8 am Tuesday to 8 am Wednesday, 22,752 new cases of coronavirus have come across the country and the total number of coronavirus cases in the country has now reached to 7,42,417. However, there are only 264944 active cases and most of the people have been cured.
With new cases of coronavirus coming up every day, the numbers of people who are losing their lives due to corona in the country are also increasing continuously. According to the Union Health Ministry, between 8 am Tuesday to 8 am Wednesday, 482 deaths due to coronavirus have been recorded across the country and till now the virus has killed a total of 20,642 people across the country.
However, with the increase of coronavirus infection in India, the numbers of people recovering from Corona are also increasing rapidly and so far a total of 4,56,830 people have been cured across the country. During the last 24 hours, 16,883 people across the country have recovered from Corona. Coronavirus recovery rate in the country remains above 61 percent.
There is continuous testing in the country for identification of coronavirus patients. On Tuesday, more than 2.62 lakh tests have been conducted across the country. The total coronavirus testing in the country has increased to over 1.04 crore. After the United States, Russia and Britain, the highest number of coronavirus tests are being conducted in India.
Speaking of coronavirus cases globally, the total number of cases worldwide has crossed 11 million mark. So far more than 5.46 lakh people have died due to corona virus worldwide. However, more than 68.95 lakh coronavirus patients have been cured all over the world. The highest numbers of cases of coronavirus in the world are in the United States, where more than 30.97 lakh cases have been reported and more than 1.33 lakh people have died, followed by Brazil with more than 16.74 lakh cases and 66 thousand deaths. 6.94 lakh cases have also been reported in Russia.
