IND vs WI: Third Umpire will Take Decision on No Ball

The ICC has decided that the field umpire will not take a decision on no ball during the cricket series between India and the West Indies.

During the T20 and ODI series played between India and West Indies, a new thing will be seen by cricket fans. During this cricket series played between the two countries, the decision on no ball will be taken by the third umpire rather than the field umpire. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced this.

India and West Indies have to play three T20 and ODIs during this cricket series. It starts in Hyderabad from today and will be tried by technology to decide on the no ball. The statement issued by the ICC said that during this entire trial, the third umpire will decide on every no ball. That is, if a bowler throws a no ball, then the third umpire will first decide whether the ball was right or not and if he finds that the ball was no then he will talk to the field umpire and then the umpire on the field will call it no ball. . This means that the field umpire will not give his decision on the no-ball without the consent of the third umpire. From the ICC, it has been said that the benefit of doubt will be given to the bowler here.

The ICC has said that if there is a delay in passing the decision, then the umpire out on the field will change the decision (in case the batsman is out). Apart from this, all other decisions will be taken by the umpire on the field as before. The ICC said that this trial will be used as a scale to check the accuracy of the no ball and it will also be seen how it will affect the speed of the game. It was first tried in the ODI series played between England and Pakistan in the year 2016.
