After announcing the T20 squad against England, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has asked the limited-over players selected in the team to report in Ahmedabad on March 1.
Indian players such as opener Shikhar Dhawan, Suryakumar Yadav, Rahul Tewatia and Ishan Kishan have been added to the squad for the T20 series. Meanwhile, all these players are currently playing for their respective states in the domestic tournament ‘Vijay Hazare Trophy’ (ODI format).
5-match T20 series will take place in Motera stadium:
The 5-match T20 series against England will take place from 12 to 20 March at Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad. Meanwhile, the 4-match Test series between the two teams currently equaled at 1-1. The last two Tests will also take place in Motera stadium.
Meanwhile, an official of the Delhi Cricket Association told the news agency, “Shikhar is supposed to report in Ahmedabad along with others on March 1. As far as we know, all the white ball specialists have been asked to play 2 to 3 games to be in touch as they will again enter a new bubble with all the COVID-19 protocols in place.”

4 players have a chance for debut:
At the same time, the BCCI announced the 19-member squad for the T20 series on Saturday. Batsman Suryakumar Yadav, wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan and all-rounder Rahul Tewatia, who performed brilliantly in the last season of IPL, have been included in the team for the first time. Apart from these three, Varun Chakraborty has a chance to debut.
