Important meeting of Cabinet Today, ‘Garib Kalyan Ann Yojana’ May get Approval

The cabinet meeting is going to be held today at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi amidst tension from China, coronavirus infection, and flood-like situation in many states. In this meeting of the Union Cabinet, two packages of self-sufficient India can be approved. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has promised to provide free food grains to the poor by November, this scheme can also be approved by the cabinet today.

Cabinet Committee on Security meeting too

Before the Cabinet meeting, there will be a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security, in this meeting PM Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Foreign Minister Jaishankar will be present. In this meeting, tensions with China, withdrawal of forces of both countries from Galvan, and other security issues can be discussed.

Let us tell you that between the lockdown and the corona crisis, the Narendra Modi government has announced to give free ration to 80 crore people by November this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently announced this. This ration is already being distributed among the poor under 'Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana'.

Free ration for the next 5 months in ' Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana'  

After the Corona transition in the country, the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana was announced under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Package in March. The government is distributing free rations to the poor for the last three months under this scheme. In view of the adverse effect of lockdown on the poor, the government has extended this scheme until November.

Under this scheme, more than 80 crore people of the country will get 5 kg of food grains and 1 kg of pulses/gram free for the next 5 months. With this announcement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, more than 80 crore beneficiaries will get relief from the worry of food and drink in the coming days.
