IMD Predicts Heavy Rainfall during Next Few Days in these States, Check Here

The Southwest Monsoon has further advanced to parts of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) said on Friday. It is likely to move further into West Uttar Pradesh including some more parts of South Rajasthan on Saturday. A prolonged cyclonic circulation is expected over East Uttar Pradesh to Bihar by next week. In this cyclonic circulation, there is a possibility of rain and thundershowers in some parts of Northeast India.

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), partly cloudy sky and thundershowers are expected in Delhi for the next few days. A flood-like situation prevails in many districts. There is a possibility of more heavy rain for the next three days. According to the Meteorological Department, it may take another 4-5 days for the monsoon to reach Delhi, Punjab and other parts.

Heavy rain expected in four to five days in many parts of Bihar: IMD

Due to the spread of southeasterly monsoon winds, heavy rain is expected over the eastern part of Uttarakhand. At the same time, IMD said that Uttarakhand may report 80-100 mm of rain on Saturday. There is a possibility of heavy rain in many areas including East Uttar Pradesh and West Bihar. The daily rainfall figures in these areas will reach 50-80 mm. Along with this, scattered rain and thundershowers will continue over some parts of Central, East and Northeast India for the next few days.

Heavy to very heavy rainfall is very likely over Konkan and Goa, coastal and south interior Karnataka, Gujarat and Madhya Maharashtra during the next 2-3 days. IMD said that there is a possibility of very heavy rainfall at some places in Bihar during the next 4 to 5 days. During the next 24 hours, scattered rain and lightning also predicted over most parts of Northwest India.
