People have become more aware, especially about food items. Keeping everything clean and germ-free in the wake of the coronavirus epidemic has become part of people's routine. Scientists from the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (CIFET), Ludhiana have developed a unique machine based on the ozone principle to make fruits and vegetables germ and virus free. OGC can be easily used in homes, hotels, and small food processing units.
The Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) and the Central Institute of Post Harvest Engineering and Technology (CIPHET) Ludhiana are also bringing new technology in its wake. The institute has prepared a washer called OGC to clean the virus on fruits and vegetables. This ozone gas is diffused into fruits and vegetables soaked in water in a vessel by silicon pipes.
This washer is based on the Ozone theory. This makes the viruses on the surface of fruits and vegetables inactive. You can also get information from ciphet.icar@gmail.com.
Researchers who manufacture the machine say that such a machine has been manufactured in the government sector for the first time in the country. And it is really important in the Coronavirus period because the infection is spreading sensitivity in the human body. CIPHET institute has prepared a washer called OGC to clean up the virus on fruits and vegetables. The machine was designed after three months of intensive research by Dr. Ranjit Singh, Dr. K. Narasaiya, and Surya, a technical research team led by Dr. R K Singh of CIPHET. It is immersed in the vessel through a nozzle pipe fitted in this machine. It costs ~ 3500 to build the machine.
