I Am With All the People of Raebareli: Priyanka Gandhi

Priyanka Gandhi rushed to Raebareli to take stock of the situation and assured all possible help to the victims

Congress MLA Aditi Singh was on Tuesday attacked by some unidentified men while  she was on her way to the district panchayat office in Raebareli where voting was taking place on a no-confidence motion against Panchayat head Avadesh Singh

AICC General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi rushed to Raebareli to take stock of the situation. She has assured all possible help to the victims. Priyanka Gandhi also said that she won't leave the matter and will seek legal opinion to file an FIR against district administration officials for  their laxity.

Aditi Singh was in her car when the attack took place. Aditi Singh's convoy was followed by some men who also opened fire. She was injured when her vehicle overturned in Raebareli's Harchandpur area.

Reportedly Priyanka Gandhi said that "I am with all the people of Raebareli and will not leave the matter like this. We will also seek legal opinion for filing FIR against district administration officials for their laxity and will even knock the doors of Election Commission if required. Never in history, such incident has happened and it should never happen again."

An FIR has been registered under various sections of the IPC against Dinesh Singh, Awadhesh Singh, Ramesh Singh, Abhishek Singh, Tera Singh, Bachcha Singh, and seven unidentified people. However, no arrest has been made in the case so far.

Dinesh Singh has dismissed all allegations against him and his brothers by saying We might have different political ideologies but no one in Rae Bareli can believe that I have conspired an attack on Aditi, who is like a daughter to me. I along with my brothers are ready for any kind of probe into the matter."
