New Delhi: Hyundai Motor India has unveiled the name of its upcoming sedan and will be called 'Aura'. Apart from the naming, nothing else has been officially said about the new car. Currently Hyundai Motor India sells 12 models in the country. This includes Santro, Grand i10, Grand i10 Nios, Elite i20, Active i20, Xcent, Verna, Elantra, Venue, Creta, Tucson and Kona EV.
According to the carmaker, the name of Hyundai Aura is inspired by 'Vibrance of Positivity' and 'Spirit to Go the Distance'. Hyundai Motor India claims that the upcoming 'Aura' is a blend of comfort, safety, style and modernity with technology.
In October 2019, Hyundai Motor India launched the new Elantra with an initial price of Rs 15.89 lakh (ex-showroom). It will compete with rivals such as Honda Civic, Skoda Octavia and Toyota Corolla Altis. In October 2019, Hyundai Motor India reported a decline of 3.8 percent in domestic sales to 50,010 units. Apart from this, the carmaker exported 13,600 units during the month of October, which saw a jump of 4.5 percent.
