During a virtual news briefing, Tedros said, "Last week the Executive Group of Solidarity Trial decided to put a temporary moratorium on the trial of hydroxychloroquine, because, there were fears of health damage from the drug. Seeing the current death toll, the committee recommended that there is no need to change the trial, "All other trials including hydroxchloroquine will be continued," they said.
