Hyderabad Cricket Ground is on Standby for the IPL Finals

The Governors' Committee (COA) has given TNCA a week to get the requisite clearances to keep the IPL final hosted on Monday with Chennai. Apart from the COA, the three officials of the BCCI took part in the meeting in the capital, and many issues related to cricket operations were discussed.

In addition, it was announced in the meeting that on April 15, the Indian team will be selected for the World Cup. The last date for declaring the team for the World Cup is April 23, but the BCCI decided to announce the team eight days before the scheduled date for the tournament starting in Britain from May 30. It was decided earlier, but it was announced on Monday.

"We will have discussions with TNCA as we don't want to deprive CSK their right of playing at home. But three empty stands is an issue. Hyderabad and Bangalore are the two standby venues for two playoffs, Eliminator and final," a senior BCCI official told PTI on Monday.

It was also learned that the Committee of Administrators has asked the steering committee of Players' Association to expedite the process.

"The Players' Association is expected to take shape in the next two weeks. The four-member committee has been told to expedite the process," the official said.

"It will be a fresh process but Paytm can also bid but just like new bidders."

Preparations of the Indian World Cup team are moving in the right direction and only one place has to be considered. The decision was also taken in the meeting of the IPL final, which can pass away to the strong Chennai Super Kings. The BCCI has kept Hyderabad as the standby venue for the final on May 12.

Three vacant stands in Chepauk – I, J and K – are emerging from 2012 and whenever the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association (TNCA) organizes matches (IPL and International), these stands remain empty.

Hyderabad will remain standby for final

In case of the three closed galleries of Chepauk stadium not resolved, the Rajiv Gandhi Stadium of Hyderabad will remain standby for the Indian Premier League Playoffs and Final match on May 12.

The Tamil Nadu Cricket Association has not been able to obtain NOC from the local municipal corporation for three galleries 'I, J. K.' from 2012. He said, "If they fail to get the certificate then the final will be held in Hyderabad and Playoffs and Eliminator in Bengaluru. Sunrise is the runner-up of 2018 and therefore he will host the final.
