CM Hemant Soren is expanding his cabinet on Tuesday, January 28, a month after he was sworn in as the 11th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. For this, on Monday Hemant will meet the Governor and hand over the list of ministers and urge him to take oath at Raj Bhavan. Earlier, cabinet expansion was deferred at the last moment on 24 January. At that time, it was said to postpone cabinet expansion regarding the violent incidents in the state. A simple ceremony will be held for the swearing-in of ministers at the Birsa Pavilion of Raj Bhavan.

Three ministers were sworn in with the Chief Minister then, but even after a month their portfolios have not been divided. A total of 12 ministers are to be appointed in the state council of ministers, including the CM. In this case, two MLAs have been made from Congress quota and one from RJD quota. While 8 MLAs can take oath as ministers.

The Mahagathbandhan has got 47 seats in this election, including 30 JMM, 16 Congress and one RJD MLA. Talking about participation in the cabinet, the Congress can be given four ministerial posts. After becoming ministers of Alamgir Alam and Rameshwar Oraon, now Deepika Pandey Singh and Banna Gupta of Congress can be made ministers. From the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, the names of Stephen Marandi, Mathura Mahato, Joba Manjhi, Haji Hussain and Mithilesh Thakur are in the forefront for the post of ministers.
