Hearing has started in Patiala House Court on the death warrant petition filed to hang the four convicts Akshay, Mukesh, Vinay and Pawan in the Nirbhaya case. At the same time, Akshay's wife, convicted in Bihar, hopes that the court will show leniency towards her husband.

At the same time, the Tihar Jail Administration will also file a report in its hearing on Tuesday. On the instructions given by the court in the previous hearing, the jail administration gave seven days time to the convicts, so that they can file mercy petition against the death penalty.

The jail administration had issued the notice under Rule 837 of Delhi Jail Rules 2018. The administration had said that if you have not filed mercy petition then you can file it before the President within seven days. According to the jail administration, the jail administration has received answers from the four convicts. The answer was finally received from Mukesh.

Additional Inspector General of Jail Rajkumar said that Mukesh's reply was received after the due date. All the convicts have spoken before the President about the option of a curative petition before the mercy petition. It is also said that on the basis of the decision that will come after filing the curative petition, they will decide what to do next. In the hearing on Tuesday, the court will be made aware of the situation in this case. After this, the instructions of the court will be followed. Nirbhaya's mother's petition is being heard in Patiala House Court. In the petition, he has requested to hang the culprits soon. The court can also issue instructions regarding the death warrant.
