Former Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has passed away. He was Admitted to AIIMS Hospital in Delhi from 9 August. Jaitley had been ill for a long time. Due to illness, he did not join the Modi cabinet after the Lok Sabha elections in 2019. He died at the age of 66. After Jaitley's death, there is an atmosphere of mourning across the country from political circles. Many people including political parties are paying tribute to him.

India has lost an ardent lawyer and politician as Arun Jaitley. Born on 28 December 1952, Arun Jaitley breathed his last on 24 August 2019. In political life, he held important positions in the central government like Finance Minister and Defense Minister. Along with being a successful politician, Arun Jaitley has also been identified as a highly successful lawyer. He has been a senior advocate in the Supreme Court

The Prime Minister spoke to Jaitley's wife Sangeeta and son Rohan from the UAE and consoled her. Condoling Jaitley's demise, he mentioned the glorious aspects of his personality. However, due to poor health, he had conveyed to the PM the desire of not taking any position in the second term of the Modi government.

After the request made by Arun Jaitley's family, there is no immediate change in PM Modi's foreign tour. The family urged him to continue the tour. PM Modi will return to the country on 26 August

Water was accumulating in Jaitley's lungs, due to which he was having trouble breathing. This is the reason why doctors put him on ventilator. He had soft tissue sarcoma, a type of cancer. Let us know that Jaitley was already a diabetic patient. His kidney was transplanted. He also went to the US for treatment after finding out about the disease of soft tissue cancer. He also underwent bariatric surgery to get rid of obesity.
