The protest against the lathi charge on farmers in Karnal, Haryana on Saturday has gained momentum. The policemen have registered a case against 130 farmers for blocking the road and pelting stones. In protest against this, the United Kisan Morcha has said to block the roads on Sunday. A Mahapanchayat has also been called in Nuh.
On Saturday, several farmers were injured in the lathi charge by the police at Bastara toll in Karnal and the platform here was removed. On Sunday morning, the farmers again took possession. The number of farmers is increasing continuously here. There is no obstruction on the movement of vehicles. The farmers have got all the tolls free in protest against the three agricultural bills. SDM which ordered the beheading of farmers, Kisan Morcha also demanded the removal of SDM Ayush Sinha. Actually, a video of Aayush Sinha is going viral, in which he is seen saying that if a farmer goes in front of the barricade, then break his head. In the video, Ayush is telling the policemen that if someone tries to get out of here, just pick up the stick and kill them.
I give clear orders, to break his head. No doubt, no direction is needed. This block will not be allowed to be broken under any circumstances. There is more force behind it. Here you are in the beginning to tackle the situation. Not even a single person should go from here and if he goes, his head should be broken.
Peasant leader Rakesh Tikait has said about this incident that the state Taliban has been captured in the country. Their commanders are present in the country. These commanders have to be identified. There is the commander who gave the order to break the head.
Farmers were to protest at a BJP meeting in Karnal on Saturday. Police and jawans stopped the farmers at Bastara toll plaza. After this, the farmers were lathi-charged. Police had said that Section 144 was imposed in the area and the farmers were asked to leave, but they starting throwing stones.
Police said the farmers had to lathi-charge after they pelted stones. Many farmers were injured and several police officers were injured in the incident. Angry farmers blocked the National Highway and toll plazas in all the districts including Hisar, Sirsa, Fatehabad, Bhiwani, Jind, Rohtak, Ambala, Karnal, Panipat, and Sonipat. In this case, the police have arrested 17 farmers. The police have registered a case against 130 farmers.
