Uttar Pradesh Police has changed its emergency number. Now if you get into any problem, then you have to dial 112 instead of 100. According to the information received from the Uttar Pradesh Police Department, it will come into force from 26 October. In many countries and in many states of India, the 112 number that identifies for emergency helpline will also be applicable in the state. Director General of Police (DGP) OP Singh has issued an order in this regard.

UP-100 ADG Aseem Arun said, "The public will be able to take help of life saving agencies like Ambulance, Fire service and SDRF, apart from police from 112 on 26 October. On this day, emergency service of 112 will also be released. 108 of Ambulance service, 1090 of Women power line and CM helpline will also be integrated with 112. 112 service will provide the perfect location of both victim and PRV". Till now only the policemen posted in the PRV used to close the call. The call takers posted in the control room have been specially trained for emergencies.

Recently the new headquarters of UP Police constructed in Lucknow, which was inaugurated by CM Yogi Adityanath. The building constructed at a cost of 816.31 crore has been named "Signature Building". This building is spread over 40178 square meters. It has also been claimed to be the most high-tech police headquarters of the country.

 In the 9-storey police signature building, the DGP will sit on the 9th floor, while on the remaining 8 floors, 18 other headquarters of the Uttar Pradesh Police have been shifted. In this shifted headquarters, 18 departments including EOW Vigilance Traffic Fire are working under one building and one roof.

More than 500 CCTV cameras and more than 200 police personnel have been deployed to protect this building equipped with international facilities. The new police headquarters also has an auditorium with a capacity of 500 people for large events. At the same time, a museum has also been built to preserve the history of UP Police.
