Ayushman Bharat Scheme is continuously adding hospital. Indu Bhushan, CEO of Ayushman India said in an interview with media, that, more than 15 thousand hospitals have been added to this scheme. 50% of these hospitals are private. He said that 18 lakh people have been treated through this scheme.
Most of these 18 lakh people have been treated in private hospitals. According to Bhushan, the private sector is taking a big part in it. According to him, we are ensuring that the hospitals get money on time. There is no complaint from any hospital in receiving late money.
According to the CEO of Ayushman India, in the last 6 months, 20 percent more patients have reached the hospital due to this. Through Ayushman India, 100 million families of the country have been given the facility of treatment of 500 million people. The poor get health insurance of Rs 5 lakhs in this scheme.
There is no need for any kind of registration for this. You have to give your introduction letter to the hospital. There is a separate desk for it. By visiting there, you can check whether you are included in the Ayushman Bharat scheme or not. The name of this scheme is also Prime Minister Jan Aarogya Yojana (PM-JAY).
The eligible people can go to any hospital associated with the scheme and get treatment. There is no need to pay even a paisa to them for this. The government will pay directly to the hospital. Most of the hospitals in the cities in the country have joined the scheme.
