According to the statement, this decision was taken in a meeting of the Group of Ministers chaired by Health Minister Harsh Vardhan.
"Except diplomats, officials, UN / international organizations, employment and project visas, all existing visas are canceled till 15 April 2020," the statement said. This decision will come into effect from 12 noon on 13 March 2020. At the same time, the facility of visa-free travel to OCI cardholders has also been stopped till 15 April.
Any foreign national who wants to travel to India for any particular or important reason can contact the nearest Indian Mission. The statement also said that all such travelers, including Indians visiting India who has traveled to China, Italy, Iran, Korea, France, Spain, and Germany, will be kept separate (quarantine) for at least 14 days. At the same time, Air India has canceled its flights to Italy and Korea. The company has canceled its flights to Italy by 28 March and to Korea by 25 March.
