On Thursday, both gold and silver prices are falling in the futures market.  On June 5, 2020 gold futures on the MCX exchange fell by Rs 256 to trade at Rs 46,875 per 10 grams.  At the same time, on Thursday morning, the futures price of five August 2020 on MCX was down by 0.31 per cent or Rs 149 to trade at Rs 47,191 per 10 grams.  Global spot and futures prices of gold have also been seen falling on Thursday morning.

The domestic futures market is witnessing a steep fall in silver prices on Thursday.  On Thursday morning on MCX, silver futures of July 3, 2020 fell by 1.43 per cent or Rs 703 to trade at Rs 48,355 per kg. Talking of international level, gold futures and spot prices were trending down here on Thursday morning.  According to Bloomberg, on Thursday morning, the global futures price of gold was down by 0.50 per cent, or $ 8.80, at $ 1743.30 an ounce on Comex.  At the same time, the global spot price of gold was down by 0.41 percent or $ 7.09 to trade at $ 1,741.09 an ounce.

Talking about silver prices in the international market, global and futures prices of silver have seen a decline on Thursday morning.  On Thursday morning, the global spot silver prices fell by 1.92 per cent, or $ 0.34, to trade at $ 17.22 an ounce.  At the same time, the global futures price of silver was trading at $ 17.74 an ounce, falling 1.64 percent or $ 0.30 on Comex on Thursday.
