After the removal of Article 370, the situation in Kashmir is becoming normal day by day. On Eid, the atmosphere seems quite normal. Tight arrangements have been made on this occasion for security. Special arrangements have been made by the administration to ensure that people do not face any problem.
There is an atmosphere of joy and celebration in Srinagar on the occasion of Eid. People offered prayers at local mosques. Home Ministry spokesperson Vasudha Gupta said in a tweet that in Jammu and Kashmir, people have offered a good number of prayers on Eid. People offered prayers in the major mosques of Srinagar and Shopian. More than 4500 people offered prayers at Idgah in Jammu. Eid prayers were peacefully performed in all the local mosques of Anantnag, Baramulla, Budgam, Bandipore. Jamia Masjid In the old city of Baramulla, around 10,000 people offered prayers.
There is no problem on Eid, so the administration has installed mobile vans to deliver essential goods to the homes. Employees have been paid their salary in advance. The administration has established six mandis in the city of Srinagar. Of these, two and a half lakh goats have been brought for sacrifice. Ration depots have been set up in every district. Out of total 3697 government depots in Kashmir division, 3557 are open. Earlier, despite the holiday on Sunday, people treasury and banks, markets and shopping gave a message of peace. During this, Eid Kashmiris were seen calling each other Eid Mubarak.
According to the state administration, all essential goods are available in Kashmir. Wheat 65, rice 55, mutton 17, poultry 30, kerosene 35, LPG 30 and diesel and petrol are available for 28 days.
