Many cricketers have been continuously giving their opinion about their favorite captain of the Indian team. Now, former all-rounder Irfan Pathan has also made his point. He believes that Gautam Gambhir should have captained the Indian team in more matches. If that had happened, he could have proved to be better leader.
“People mostly don’t talk about Rahul Dravid, it doesn’t mean they don’t like Rahul,” Irfan said. Under his captaincy, India won 16 consecutive matches batting second. On the other hand, under Mahendra Singh Dhoni captaincy, India had won many matches.
I also respect Ganguly, Dravid and Kumble: Irfan Pathan
The former all-rounder said, “I also highly respect Sourav Ganguly, I also have a lot of respect for Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble as captain. I believe that Gautam Gambhir should have captained the Indian team in more matches. To be fair, he could have proved to be a better leader. I also praise Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, it does not mean that I am not a fan of Dhoni.”
