Gaurav Budania of Jaipur has secured 13th rank in UPSC Civil Examination. Gaurav is originally from Churu, Rajasthan. Presently live in Gurjar ki Thadi area in Jaipur. Gaurav had 12th rank in the RAS exam 2018 also. In the very first attempt, Gaurav has cleared the civil mains exam for IAS.

In a conversation with the media, he attributed this to his late Tau Ji Shravan Kumar Budania, his parents, and family members. He told that there is a lot of competition in UPSC, so here along with hard work, smart work has to be done.

Gaurav has done mining engineering from BHU. He told that the placement was done in Hindustan Zinc, but my uncle always used to tell how we can come back to the administration and return back to society. You can bring innovation with your talent. Society needs people who understand the ground reality. What was motivating me was to work on ground reality. In the exam, dividing his questions into 5 parts, he used to write what he read in the book in 4 parts, while in one part he used to write about the ground reality he saw.

Gaurav told that I will have three priorities during the service. The first priority will be that I will help whoever comes to me for help. Let no one return disappointed from me. I would like to take some innovative steps to improve education and prevent children and women from crime.

Always kept the same thought everything will be good

In a conversation with Gaurav about the exam, he said that this exam is such, in which it is very important to have patience. This time during the Corona period, I and the whole family became ill. Tau Ji had passed away. We stayed in the hospital for two months. I was able to prepare for the interview only for 10-15 days, but all this is a part of the parcel of life. You have to keep an eye on your goal with patience. We have to think that we will do well.

Dad always motivates

Papa never let me get demotivated. When I left the job, he told me to take my own decision. I have done M.A. decided to do. While I was a BTech in engineering. After BTech, most of the students do MTech or do jobs. Still, my father did not refuse me. He supported and said that you read, watch and know about different subjects. I think the family supported me a lot. My brother-in-law also kept motivating me by calling me.
