The government of Uttar Pradesh along with the Center is also very serious about the river Ganga, which is considered the lifeline of the country. The Uttar Pradesh government is starting a five-day Ganga Yatra from today as part of the Ganga River cleanliness campaign. The Ganga Yatra will start from Ballia with Bijnor.

On Monday, Governor Anandiben Patel from Dubey Chhapra in Ballia and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath from Sabalgarh in Bijnor will flag off the country's first five-day Ganga Yatra. He will be accompanied by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Rawat.

Governor will leave Ganga Yatra from Ballia. He will be accompanied by Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will also address the public meeting in Sabalgarh, Bijnor, besides launching the yatra from Bijnor. Yogi Adityanath will take the first night rest at Jambudweep in Hastinapur, while Ganga Aarti will take place in Makhdumpur.

The Ganga Yatra, which is going to cover a total of 1238 kilometers, will include 56 ministers of the state government and eight ministers of the central government. During the yatra, Ganga Aarti has been organized, reception at 100 places and public meetings at 30 places. Water power minister Dr. Mahendra Singh said that this visit will explain the economic and environmental importance of Ganga with faith.

Ganga Yatra is the nodal irrigation department. For this, the department has also created a control room, which will be operational 24 hours. The Chief Engineer and Superintending Engineer have been given the responsibility. There will be two Executive and Assistant Engineers in the control room from seven to three in the morning. In the second shift, there will be two Executive Engineers and one Assistant Engineer from 3 pm to 11 pm, while in the third shift, one Executive and two Assistant Engineers will be posted from 11 am to 7 am.
