Gujarat Titans is the first team to qualify for the finals of this event. The team under Hardik Pandya has been superb to reach this position in the current season. In their maiden season, GT has played like a champion and they have every chance of winning the IPL trophy this time around.

Saha was out on a duck in the previous game when Gujarat Titans played against the Rajasthan Royals team in the playoff one. But despite the poor start, the Titans chased down the score of 189 runs with ease. That was mainly because of a powerful middle order.

David Miller, Skipper Hardik Pandya and Rahul Tewatia are the gems of this GT side. They will be expected to deliver in this final as well. But still, Gill and Saha should give the desired start for the Gujarat team in the final that will ease off some pressure on the middle order batters.

Hardik Pandya has done well as a captain, batter and bowler. Hardik has the experience of playing IPL finals because of part of the Mumbai Indians team previously. So he will know what is needed to win the IPL title. But he should bowl more, especially in the death overs when the other bowlers leak runs.

Gujarat Titans should add Lockie Ferguson in their line up for this all important match. The Kiwi pacer, Ferguson will be an asset for GT in the final and he has done well for them to play this match against Rajasthan Royals on Sunday.

Mohammed Shami, Alzarri Joseph, Rashid Khan and Yash Dayal hold the key in the bowling department. Sai Kishore is also a good bowler and he has a chance of showcasing his pure class in the final. These bowlers hold the key in the powerplay, middle and death overs of a T20 innings.

Wriddhiman Saha, Shubman Gill, Sai Sudarshan, Hardik Pandya (C), David Miller, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Ravisrinivasan Sai Kishore, Lockie Ferguson, Yash Dayal, Mohammed Shami.

TATA IPL 2022 Final Preview: Gujarat Titans Vs Rajasthan Royals

Rajasthan Royals have entered their second final after the first IPL 2008 season, which they won under the tutelage of Late Shane Warne, who was the coach, captain and player of the Rajasthan Royals in their title winning season. It would be a great tribute for Shane Warne, if Samson and company win this year's IPL trophy.

Like always RR needs a good start to their innings. Jos Buttler has been in terrific form in the last two matches played. He had scored fifty in the playoff one match against Gujarat Titans and followed with an unbeaten century against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 27. Jos Buttler has equaled the record of Virat Kohli, who had scored four IPL centuries in a single season in IPL 2016 season.

The bowlers who leaked runs against GT in their previous encounter are also back in form. Prasidh Krishna, Trent Boult and Obed McCoy did a good job against RCB. Bowling first, the RR bowlers restricted RCB to just 157 runs. But the middle order and the form of spinners will worry RR ahead of this main clash.

Playing XI of Rajasthan Royals –

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Jos Buttler, Sanju Samson, Devdutt Padikkal, Shimron Hetmyer, Riyan Parag, Ravichandran Ashwin, Trent Boult, Prasidh Krishna, Obed McCoy and Yuzvendra Chahal.

Jos Buttler – The orange cap holder was seen in excellent touch on 27 May. He single handedly guided the RR team to the finals of the TATA IPL 2022. Buttler’s innings of 106 runs was sublime to watch and if he can repeat the same performance in the finals then it would be great for the Royals and he can also eye for breaking the record of Virat Kohli. Currently, Buttler and Virat are placed with four tons each in an IPL season.

Mohammed Shami –The Indian speed star has been good in the this IPL season for the Gujarat Titans. But he needs to continue his good form in the finals as well. Shami holds the key with the new ball in he powerplay overs and death overs. He can be more lethal when pitch offers something for the faster bowlers.

Ravichandran Ashwin –The spin bowling all rounder didn’t do a great job yesterday. The pitch also didn’t support the spinners much. But still, Ashwin is immensely talented to get out of this situation especially in an event like a final. Ashwin can contribute with the bat as well. He can be promoted up the order to surprise the opposition team.
