The much-awaited IPL 2022 mega auction is scheduled to take place on February 12 and 13 in Bengaluru and will see 590 players at stake. This auction will feature 370 Indian cricketers and 220 international cricketers. Of these, 48 players have placed themselves in the Rs 2 crore category. Many stars expect to receive a huge amount and when it comes to the costliest purchase of IPL, the event may even break some records.

Team India's senior opener Shikhar Dhawan has kept a base price of 2 crores. Shikhar Dhawan had scored 587 runs in 16 matches last season and this year's edition will give the left-handed opener a chance to showcase his aggressive brand of cricket.
