Controversy over Congress in Punjab is increasing these days. Now the leaders of Rajasthan have also started coming under target in the Punjab dispute. Giving a befitting reply to CM Ashok Gehlot's advice, Captain Amarinder Singh has advised him to leave Punjab and look at Rajasthan. Captain Amarinder has hit back at Gehlot's statement that Captain Amarinder Singh will not take any such step which will harm the Congress party, the Congress President chooses the Chief Minister after taking the displeasure of many leaders.

Captain Amarinder Singh said in a conversation with a TV channel on the question asked about Gehlot's advice – he should take care of his Rajasthan, leave our Punjab. You should see what is happening in Rajasthan except for Punjab. My friend is Ashokji, he was the chairman of the committee which gave tickets in the elections. He is a very good man, but he must see to his troubles. They have many problems of their own. We have problems in Rajasthan, problems in Chhattisgarh.

CM Gehlot had issued a statement

On Sunday, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had issued a statement saying – I hope Captain Amarinder Singhji will not take any such step which will harm the Congress party. Captain Sahib himself said that the party had kept him as Chief Minister for nine and a half years. He has served the people of Punjab by working to the best of his ability. The high command sometimes has to take decisions in the interest of the party on the basis of the feedback received from the legislators and the general public.

I also personally believe that the Congress President chooses the Chief Minister only after taking out the displeasure of many leaders who are in the race to become the CM. But while changing the CM, they get angry and start justifying the decision of the high command. In such moments you should listen to your conscience. Capt. Saheb is a respected leader of the party and I hope that he will continue to work keeping the interests of the party ahead.

Captain got angry at CM Gehlot's advice

Captain Amarinder Singh and Ashok Gehlot have had friendly relations. During the Punjab assembly elections, Ashok Gehlot was made the chairman of the screening committee. So he has complete knowledge about the political effect of the Punjab Congress and the MLAs there. Captain Amarinder is upset over Navjot Singh Sidhu getting prominence in recent Punjab developments and his removal. Like Punjab, there is no less discord in the Rajasthan Congress. The advice of Ashok Gehlot was passed on to the captain and he heard it well to his friend.
