Singh's pre-scheduled radiation therapy was delayed due to the lockdown in March and he was brought to Delhi in an air ambulance arranged by the Boxing Federation of India in the last week of April. However, his treatment could not be completed due to jaundice and he was taken back to Manipur in an ambulance.
