Flights have resumed 16 hours after the blasts at the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, Afghanistan, and people are being airlifted from there. There were fidayeen attacks on Kabul airport on Thursday evening. According to the American newspaper Wall Street Journal, so far 95 Afghans and 13 American soldiers have been killed in these attacks, while 1,338 people have been injured. According to media reports, 28 of the 95 Afghans killed were Taliban, who were stationed outside Kabul airport. The Khorasan Group of the terrorist organization ISIS has claimed responsibility for this attack.
Fidayeen attacks may lead to more terrorist attacks at Kabul airport. According to the American Broadcast Company (ABC), there is a danger of a car bomb blast at the north gate of the airport. In such a situation, the US Embassy in Kabul has issued a new alert. At the same time, US President Joe Biden has given a stern warning to the attackers, saying that the terrorists will be found and killed.
All areas except Panjshir in Afghanistan are under Taliban control. In Panjshir, fighters of the Northern Alliance, led by the acting President of Afghanistan, Amrullah Saleh, are fighting a war with the Taliban. Meanwhile, it is reported that talks have taken place between the representatives of the Taliban and Panjshir in Charikar, the capital of Parwan province. During this both the factions have agreed not to attack each other.
