After controlling the second wave of COVID-19, Maharashtra's CM Uddhav Thackeray on Saturday announced a five-step unlock plan in the state from June 7. Based on the positivity rate and availability of oxygen beds, 36 districts will be gradually reopened. Level-5 means that the infection rate is very high in the districts. Districts with less positivity rate have been kept in Levels 4, 3, 2, and 1.
Level 1: If the positivity rate is less than 5% and oxygen beds are less than 25%.
Level 2: The positivity rate is 5% and the number of oxygen beds is between 25% and 40%.
Unlock plan – Level 3: Positivity rate between 5% to 10% and oxygen beds should be more than 40% empty.
Level 4: The positivity rate between 10% to 20% and the number of oxygen beds should be above 60% empty.
Level 5: Positivity rate above 20% and oxygen beds should be more than 75% empty.
However, districts under level 4 will not see any relaxation.
