First Death From Corona Virus in Rajasthan, 60 Years Old Woman Dies in Bikaner

The first case of death due to corona virus has been reported in Rajasthan, Covid-19 infected 60 years old woman has died in a hospital in Bikaner. This woman did not travel recently, after the death the health department officials including SP Medical College and PBM Hospital Administration reached the woman's locality late in the night. 25 people from the woman's family have been admitted to PBM. On the other hand, after the confirmation of 12 new cases of corona virus in Tonk city on Friday, this district has now become the new virus center of the state. An official said that 46 new cases of corona virus infection were reported in the state on Friday. Now the number of virus infected patients in the state has increased to 179.

The new 46 infected patients include 12 Tonk patients and 9 infected patients brought from Iran to Jodhpur. The teams surveyed in Tonk complained of not cooperating, after which the officers were directed that the field team should not have any problem in screening. In Tonk on Wednesday, 12 people who came into contact with the four people associated with the Tablighi Jamaat were confirmed infected after their infection.

On Friday, a team from the World Health Organization (WHO) visited Tonk and held discussions with officials in view of the grave situation created by the increase in the number of infected patients. District Collector Kishore Kumar Sharma said that a two-member team of the World Health Organization (WHO) visited Tonk today and observed the work being done here. He expressed satisfaction over the steps taken under the protocol and guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus infection.

The Medical and Health Minister in Jaipur, Dr. Raghu Sharma said that cases of hiding, spreading information about corona infection and mistreating health workers in service will not be tolerated. He called upon the people attending the religious program at Nizamuddin Markaz in New Delhi to come forward for the test in view of their own and others' safety.

He said that there has been a rapid increase in the number of infected patients in the state in the last 24 hours, this is a matter of concern. Sharma said, "I have reviewed the situation by meeting the Chief Medical and Health Officers and other officials through video conferencing and taking feedback from them and giving necessary guidelines." In the new infected cases found in the state today, 19 are associated with the Jamaat.
