First Arrest on Lakhimpur Violence Case, Ashish Mishra may be arrested soon

Political developments are changing rapidly in Uttar Pradesh regarding the Lakhimpur Kheri incident. In such a situation, the possibility of arrest of Ashish Mishra, son of Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Mishra 'Teni', has increased. Lucknow IG Laxmi has given a statement that she will arrest Ashish Mishra soon.

Ashish Pandey and Lav Kush in police custody

Ashish Pandey and Luv Kush have been taken into custody in the case of violence in Lakhimpur's Tikunia. Both are being questioned. Ashish Pandey and Luv Kush were also injured in the incident. It has also been learned that the police have found empty cartridges from the spot. A forensic examination will be done.

Ashish Mishra had opened fire on the protesting farmers at Lakhimpur Kheri

Significantly, the Supreme Court on Thursday took self cognizance of the matter. SC asked the state government to tell the names of the people in the FIR. It has been claimed in the FIR that Ashish Mishra had opened fire on the protesting farmers at Lakhimpur Kheri and was also present in the car that crushed the farmers. Laxmi Singh said, videos and other information that went viral on social media have also been included in the investigation.

Meanwhile, while making the first arrest in the Lakhimpur violence case, the police have arrested two persons named Ashish Pandey and Lav Kush. However, both these people were present in the convoy. Several teams of police have conducted continuous raids on the information of local informers. Apart from this, three other suspects are being taken into custody and interrogated at an undisclosed place.

What does  FIR of the Lakhimpur case say?

An FIR registered by the Uttar Pradesh Police states that the violence that took place on October 3, in which eight people, including farmers, were killed, was entirely part of a pre-planned conspiracy, spearheaded by Ajay Mishra and Ashish Mishra. In this FIR, registered by Inspector Jagjit at Tikunia police station, it is clear that Ashish was present there in a convoy of three vehicles along with 15-20 armed men.

It is also written in the FIR that Ashish was sitting on the left side of his vehicle and as soon as he hit the farmers, he opened fire on them. Gurvinder Singh, a farmer, died on the spot due to bullet injuries. After this Ashish ran towards the sugarcane fields while firing bullets and hid there.
