Britain's fight against the coronavirus is one of the biggest failures in history. This has emerged as the biggest health problem of the last 100 years and it has exposed the government machinery. This claim has been made in a UK report. This report by the Commons Science and Technology Committee and the Health and Care Committee is based on more than 50 witnesses. This includes former Health Secretary Matt Hancock, several scientists, and advisors.

A loose attitude pushes people to death

It has been said in the report that the attitude of the government against the corona pandemic was very lax, which pushed people to death. The death rate went up in the early stages due to negligence, and the UK was the worst performer compared to other countries.

Lockdown not imposed till 23 March 2020

When the corona infection spread, other countries announced lockdown. Even then the UK government did not announce a lockdown. Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced the lockdown after 23 March. Also, the committee formed to deal with Corona also held a meeting two months after its formation. Due to this, the situation worsened and the death rate increased.

The report claims that the first corona test was developed in Britain. Despite this, the situation here was the worst. This proves that the attitude of the government was very poor, the officials and scientists completely failed to ascertain the potential damage of this pandemic.
