The Indian football team’s qualifying round of the FIFA World Cup 2022 against the Asian champions Qatar will now take place on October 8. India last played against Qatar in September last year. According to the new dates announced by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) with world body FIFA, the Indian team will play matches against Bangladesh on November 12 and against Afghanistan on November 17. The FIFA World Cup and the 2023 Asian Cup qualifiers in China were scheduled to be held between March and June but were postponed due to Corona.
