Mohan Singh Singh was accused of raping his 9 and a half-year-old daughter. On 24 November, the Special Judge of Pali sentenced him to uncompromising imprisonment. Special Judge Prahlad Rai Sharma convicted Mohan Singh Rajput and sentenced him to 20 years of imprisonment. He also imposed a fine of Rs 35 thousand 100 on the father.
Delivering his verdict, Justice Prahlad Rai Sharma said that a father has the responsibility of protecting the daughter. If he does such a cruel act of raping his daughter then how will the daughters be safe? Such accused should be given the harshest punishment.
The court said that the father was responsible for the protection of the minor. However, It is condemnable, shameful for him to do such a cruel act with an innocent person.
Special Public Prosecutor Sandeep Nehra said that a woman gave a report to the Sanderao police station on 8 December 2020. In which she told that her husband has raped the step-daughter. The victim's mother had also told in the report that she found her daughter uncomfortable. Seeing him upset and asked lovingly, she told that Papa had done something wrong with her. The minor told that after everyone slept in the house, the father used to take her to the hall and rape her. However, even a few days after Diwali, he did wrong things with her.
The girl also told that the father scared her by showing her a knife. Her father Said – If I tell anyone, I will kill you and your mother as well. On registering the report, the police arrested the accused stepfather and presented him in court. On Wednesday, convicted Mohan Singh Rajput was found guilty. However, he is now sentenced to rigorous imprisonment of 20 years and fine of Rs 35 thousand 100.
The minor's mother had married another person after the death of her first husband. During this, accused Mohan Singh trapped her in his love. She left her second husband and went to Mohan Singh with two children and got married to him.
