Since the selection of Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar, who is said to be the god of cricket, in the Mumbai Indians, there has been a debate about nepotism once again. While some people are saying that Arjun Tendulkar has been easily selected because he is Sachin’s son, some are also defending Arjun Tendulkar.
Let us tell you that Bollywood actor Farhan Akhtar has also came in support of Arjun Tendulkar. Farhan Akhtar has tweeted that it is inappropriate to use the word nepotism for Arjun.
Farhan supported Arjun by tweeting
I feel I should say this about #Arjun_Tendulkar. We frequent the same gym & I’ve seen how hard he works on his fitness, seen his focus to be a better cricketer. To throw the word ‘nepotism’ at him is unfair & cruel. Don’t murder his enthusiasm & weigh him down before he’s begun.

Farhan Akhtar wrote on his official Twitter handle, “I think I should say this about Arjun Tendulkar. We often workout in the same gym and I have noticed that no matter how hard he works on his fitness, his focus is on becoming a better cricketer. It is unfair and cruel for Arjuna to use the word ‘nepotism’. Don’t beat his enthusiasm before it starts.”
People are accusing family-ism
It is noteworthy that in the auction held for the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Thursday, Arjun Tendulkar, the son of master blaster Sachin Tendulkar, has been included in the team of Mumbai Indians by making a bid of Rs 20 lakh.
After the auction of Arjun, there has been a debate on nepotism once again. On social media, people are seen criticizing the selection of Arjun Tendulkar, they say that because of Tendulkar’s surname, Arjun easily got a place in the Mumbai team. Arjun’s sister Sara Tendulkar has also given a strong answer to these criticisms. Posting a story on her Instagram in support of Arjun, Sara wrote, “No one can snatch this achievement from you. It is yours. I am proud of you”.
