Until now there were cases of cheating common people in the name of Delhi Customs. Now someone has called the Customs Commissioner as an advisor to the Prime Minister. The call came as the new Customs House Commissioner’s Office near Delhi Airport. Which said that the PMO advisor wants to talk to the Customs Commissioner. As soon as the call was received, the officials came in a hurry. The caller, calling himself the PMO adviser, ordered the commissioner that the consignment of a three-ply face surgical mask should travel from Delhi airport to Saudi Arabia. It should be cleared and exported as soon as possible on a priority basis.
A Notification to DGFT
As the PMO’s advisor, the caller also told Custom that special permission has been received from the Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) in this regard. This notification is also included with the consignment. In this case, do not be relaxed at all. After hearing such a call, the customs officials started thinking why would the PMO’s advisor call for such a consignment? There was doubt in the matter. He sent a notification to DGFT to find out the truth. The answer he got from there then he came to know that it was all fraudulent.
Three-Ply Face Masks Exported from Delhi Airport to Saudi Arabia
In this way, a large consignment of three-ply face masks was being exported from Delhi Airport to Saudi Arabia. The shipping company is from Noida. Which was to be exported to Riyadh through a company of customs housing agents from the Mayur Vihar area. A new Customs House was approached on July 1 in the case. Following a primary investigation by customs, the case has been registered at IGI Airport police station on a complaint made by the Customs Superintendent.
DGFT has Banned the Export of Surgical Masks

Customs officials in the case said that DGFT had banned the export of surgical masks and other such items from India in view of the severity of the coronavirus. But it opened some time ago.
