On Monday, Instagram was down again within a week of social media apps including Facebook being down. Many users were unable to share their photos on the photo-sharing platform Instagram. Both the apps were affected for about an hour after 12 o'clock at the night. Facebook and Instagram were shut down for some time due to server down. Due to which many users had to face problems. However, now the service has been restored. At the same time, the company has apologized for this inconvenience.
Facebook tweeted that 'some people are having problems accessing our apps and websites. We are sorry if you are unable to use our service. We know how dependent you are on us to communicate with each other. Now, we have solved the problem. Thanks again for keeping your patience this time too'.
At the same time, Instagram also issued a statement saying that we are very sorry and are working as soon as possible to fix this. Also having said that we know that some of you might be having some problems using Instagram right now.
Earlier on Sunday late night, the servers of Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp were down for about six hours. Due to this many users had to face problems. However, in the morning the company had apologized for it. Facebook attributed the outage to changes in router configurations that coordinate network communication between its data centers.
Facebook's vice president of infrastructure, Santosh Janardhan, said in a post that this disruption in network traffic had a massive impact on the way our data centers communicate, bringing our services to a halt. At the same time, according to many technical experts, the downing of Facebook was a technical mistake. They didn't rule out the possibility of playing an inside man.
