Vaccination will start from January 16 for selected people
Let us tell you that the vaccination campaign of Corona is starting in the country from 16 January 2021. Earlier, Mamta Banerjee has decided to give the corona vaccine free of cost to the people of her state.
However, the vaccination will start from January 16 for selected people. These includes health workers, frontline health workers, people over the age of 50 who already have a disease. The central government has not yet said whether the money will be taken from these people or not.
Meanwhile, many states including Delhi have demanded that the countrymen should get Corona vaccine for free. During the Bihar assembly elections, the BJP also promised that if their government comes, the Corona vaccine will be given free of cost to all the people.
Announcement of free corona vaccine before assembly
Elections for the 294-member West Bengal Legislative Assembly are also to be held in April-May this year. In this context, this declaration of Mamta has significant significance. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee issued a statement saying, “I am happy to announce that our government is making arrangements to apply for Corona Vaccine to all the people of the state without any expense.”
