New Delhi: 14.33 lakh jobs were created in the country in November, 2019, whereas it created 12.60 lakh jobs last month. This information has been obtained from the data of salary of the Employees State Insurance Corporation (ESIC). This created 12.60 lakh employment opportunities across the country in the previous month i.e. October, 2019. The National Statistics Office (NSO) report said that 1.49 crore new shareholders were added to ESIC in the financial year 2018-19.

According to the data, a total of 3.37 crore new shareholders were added to the ESIC scheme during the period September 2017 to November 2019. The report of NSO is based on the shareholders joining various schemes of ESIC, Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO), Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA). From April 2018, NSO is releasing data based on new shareholders or salary payments. The NSO has taken data for the period starting from September 2017.

According to the report, 83.35 lakh new subscribers were added to ESIC during the period September 2017 to March 2018. Similarly, in November 2019, 11.62 lakh new people were registered with the Employees Provident Fund Organization (EPFO). In the previous month, this number stood at 6.47 lakh in October.

If we talk about the year 2018-19, after the shareholders joining and leaving the EPFO, 61.12 lakh new shareholders are connected with the Provident Fund Organization. According to the latest data, a total of 3.03 crore people have joined the Employees Provident Fund Scheme between September 2017 and November 2019.
