Simba, that stars Ranveer Singh in the titular role, is in no mood to slow down at the box-office. The masala action potboiler, directed by Rohit Shetty, added Rs 14.49 crore more to its account on Wednesday. Its total earning, after a six-day run at the box-office, stands at Rs 139.03 crore, which is phenomenal, to say the least.

Previously on Friday, Simba took an opening of Rs 20.72 crore. On Saturday, the film saw substantial growth and earned Rs 23.33 crore. Sunday brought it a handsome Rs 31.06 crore. On Monday and Tuesday, the film maintained its strong grip at the box-office and collected Rs 28.19 crore and Rs 14.49 crore, respectively.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who has been following the business of Simba, shared its fresh box-office figures on Thursday.

Simba, that also stars Sara Ali Khan and Sonu Sood in key roles, has now surpassed the lifetime collections of Badhaai Ho (Rs 137.59 crore) and Stree (Rs 129.90 crore) to become the sixth highest-grossing Hindi film of the year. Now, it is only behind films Sanju, Padmaavat, Race 3, Baaghi 2 and Thugs of Hindostan.

Simba is a bona fide hit globally, it has set off fireworks at the domestic box-office. In its five-day run on home turf, Simba, a masala potboiler at heart, has amassed Rs 124.45 crore, thereby becoming eighth Rs 100 crore-film of Shetty's career. For Ranveer, Simba is his fourth box-office century, first without Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Deepika Padukone. Simba casts Ranveer in the role of Sangram Bhalearao aka Simba, a corrupt cop in Maharashtra Police. His life sees a turnaround, when the girl he treats as his sister, is killed after being raped brutally.
