The weather in Delhi-NCR has become pleasant due to intermittent rains for three consecutive days following the strong storm on Friday due to western disturbances.  Simultaneously, there has been a steep fall in minimum and maximum temperatures.  The maximum temperature has come down to 10 degrees.  Due to this, people have got relief from heavy heat and this relief will continue for the next few days.

Kuldeep Srivastava, head of the regional forecast center of India Meteorological Department, told India Meteorological Department's head of regional forecasting center that wind will continue to move at lower levels due to western disturbances.  This is the reason why the mercury of Delhi is on the slope after going to the peak.  For the second time in this month, the temperature has dropped below 35 degrees.  Frequent thunderstorms and rain have brought down the temperature.  Light rain may occur on Monday as well.  It is estimated that after this, the sky will remain clear for two to three days.  There is a possibility of rain again from June 4.

Earlier on Sunday evening, the weather changed suddenly and till late night there was heavy rain, after which the maximum temperature of Delhi came to 34 degrees Celsius. At the same time, if the Meteorological Department believes that May 31 was the coldest during the last four years.  In fact, the maximum temperature in Delhi on Sunday was 34.6 degrees Celsius, six degrees below normal.  This is the lowest maximum temperature since May 2017 to 31 May.
