Delhi Government to start Anti-Open Burning Campaign against Pollution from today

In order to stop the havoc of smog in the national capital Delhi, the Kejriwal government will start the Anti-Open Burning Campaign from today, Thursday, November 11, 2021. This campaign of the Delhi government will run for the next one month i.e. till December 1, 2021. During this campaign, there will be a complete prohibition of burning any kind of garbage in open places. For this, 550 teams of about 10 departments have been deployed by the government.

Kejriwal government has started the campaign

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has said that we also appeal to the people that if they see any incident of burning in the open, then they should complain about the 'Green Delhi' app. He said that there are 4 main sources of pollution in Delhi, for which the government has started the campaign.

These include an anti-dust campaign for dust pollution, 'Red Light on Gaadi Band' campaign for vehicular pollution, Pusa Bio De-composer for stubble pollution and now a one-month-long 'Open Burning Campaign' campaign.

People in Delhi have to face the havoc of smog

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai said that if the Aam Aadmi Party government is formed in Punjab, then we will decide to spray bio-decomposer free of cost to stop stubble burning there. He said that farmers cannot be blamed for burning stubble in neighbouring states. As the governments there have failed to provide an alternative.

It is worth noting that every year people in Delhi have to face the havoc of smog. Due to which it becomes difficult for the common man to breathe. Generally, this pollution proves to be more dangerous for people suffering from respiratory diseases.

Strict steps have also been taken by the Haryana government

At present, the level of air pollution in Delhi has increased since Diwali. The rising level of air pollution in the national capital is attributed by the government there to the paddy straw burning in the border areas of neighbouring Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh. However, strict steps have also been taken by the Haryana government to stop the burning of stubble.
