Wanted a Better death for Cersei Lannister: Lena Headey

Game of Thrones star Lena Headey says she has a few grievances about the way her character Cersei Lannister met her death and she would like to impart her worries to HBO showrunners David Benioff and Dan B Weiss over a beverage soon.

Headey's Cersei was squashed by falling stonework alongside her sibling darling Jaime (played by Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) in the penultimate scene of the show, which had its season finale on April 19.

"I invested as a viewer and I have my favorite characters. And I've got a few of my own gripes. But I haven't sat down drunk with David and Dan yet,"  the entertainer disclosed to The Observer in a meeting.

Asked what she will say when she has that drink with author couple, broadly known as 'D&D', she stated, "I will say I wanted a better death."

Headey said a character can be slaughtered off in "any manner" in the arrangement, known for its unsure plot turns. In any case, she was "gutted" when she read how Cersei would bite the dust.

"Obviously you dream of your death. You could go in any way on that show. So I was kind of gutted. But I just think they couldn't have pleased everyone. No matter what they did, I think there was going to be some big comedown from the climb."

After the season finale, there were reports that Kit Harington, who played Jon Snow, looked into a recovery focus to get treatment for stress, depletion, and liquor use to all the more likely adapt to pressure identified with GoT finishing.

Headey endured no such eventual outcomes and said she is still in contact with her co-stars, whom she calls the "Throners".

"We're all on a goliath WhatsApp bunch which is an everyday heap on. It's humorous. You can tell who's been drinking on that one."

"It was amazing. And things end and you move on," she included.
