Upcoming Movies of SS Rajamouli: The great Indian director SS Rajamouli is set to present another epic adventurous tale to his fans, #SSMB29, with his father, V Vijayendra Prasad, the RRR-famed scriptwriter.
The upcoming movie is in its pre-production stage, and the Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu is reported to be cast in the lead role.
The highly anticipated movie is set to be shot in the jungles of the African continent. As per reports, the upcoming film will be launched on August 9, which is Mahesh Babu’s birthday.
According to sources, the film will have similarities to superhumans such as Lord Hanuman from Indian mythology.
The makers are currently occupied with the pre-visualization material for the launch of one of the most expensive films in the Indian film industry, backed by Tollywood producer K.L. Narayan.
In the latest media interaction regarding the upcoming untitled film, famous Telugu superstar Mahesh Babu said, “I am excited to join hands with director Rajamouli and I look forward to the shooting.
It is too soon to reveal any detail about the project, but I can assure you that it is going to be a massive project.
The film is reported to begin the shooting schedule by next year, and as the film is still in the scripting phase, there is no chance that anyone else from the lead will be approached.
It is also reported that the marketing for the film will be on a massive scale, and SS Rajamouli would want the entry of Mahesh Babu in the pan-India cinema to be a great mark.
As per early reports, the upcoming film is set to hit the theatres by mid-2025.
In an interview, earlier this year, Rajamouli talked about his grief of not getting the chance to release Ram Charan-led Magadheera at a pan-India level because of the producer disagreeing with him over certain reasons.
He also shared his greed as a storyteller. He said, “A storyteller is a very greedy person. He wants his story to reach the masses and I am no different. Taking the film to different audiences is one aspect. The second thing is, that when you have a story, it dictates whether to go big, very big or go to a small target audience. So, if you are not putting your effort to make the story reach the target audience, then you are not doing your job right”.
Since then, Rajamouli has directed multiple pan-India films including the blockbuster Bahubali franchise and the magnificent RRR, which gave the Oscar-winning song “Naatu Naatu”.
This bilingual action film, which broke the theatres in 2015 was co-written and directed by SS Rajamouli. It was filmed in both Tamil and Telugu languages simultaneously.
The film features Prabhas along with Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannah. The film was one of the most expensive films of its time with a total budget of 180 crores ($21 million).
